Manor and estate in Jeseník nad Odrou [ Castle - chateau ]

Zámek
'The manor was built by Rudolf, free lord of Witten. Until 1728 it was built only partly and was not still finished. During the following years each of owners contributed to some measure to improvement of the manor building. A final appearance was in style of late Baroque. Around the manor there was established manor park, once rich in rare exotic trees as copper beech, European black pine, maidenhair tree, plane-tree. The manor served to its owners as summer house, of the whole demense - estate took care since 1707 custodians. Since that year written records of their working come.

Owners of manor since 1728:
1728 - 1790 lords of Antlern and Witten,
1790 - 1800 countess Maria Anna free madam of Gilleis,
1800 - 1821 countess Maria Walburga Truchsess - Zeyl,
1821 - 1831 c. k. officer Valentin Laminet from Opava,
1831 - 1834 Franz Hubert Stucker knight of Meiershofer,
1834 - 1848 Emanuel earl Miremont,
1848 - 1851 Max earl Harnouncourt - Unverzagt,
1851 - 1862 merchant Ferdinand Zinner from Vienna,
after his death his wife Pauline.

Because Pauline died childless, her niece Sarlota von Cischini inherited the manor who died during World War II. The last mentioned holder of the manor Heinrich Stecker was probably only custodian. To the manor belonged country estate that was founded many much sooner than manor. As in each demense even here was lords' brewery that was operational still to 1896. Jeseník's beer had reputedly good name and was in demand. In the building of brewery there was also a bar. But frequent change of person of brewer and competition of more modern surrounding municipal breweries led to its dissolution and adaptation of brewerey onto malt house in 1900. But also this became extinct after World War I and in the building there was until 1945 pub.
