Kateřina graduated from a glassmaking school in Nový Bor, as a glass and ceramic painter. She then moved to a glass factory near Žďár nad Sázavou and learned there to work with isinglass and sandblasting. She devoted herself to this work for 2 years, constantly learning new glass decorating techniques. However, creating jewellery interested her the most. Artistic tendencies run in her family.
Are you looking for an original piece of jewellery? From copper wires and sheets, Kateřina creates her jewellery according to her imagination. All are made by hand using solder and other tools. Goods are tinted, cleaned, and patinated and in the last stage, they are treated against damage and done. All jewellery is also harmless to health.
The creations are complemented with natural materials. Such as ordinary pebbles, minerals and seashells that she finds while wandering around the Iron Mountains. As a glassblower, she also produces glass originals sculptures herself in her workshop.
Kateřina creates not only according to her ideas but also according to the wishes of the customer. Be aware, that she never makes twice the same piece. You can see her showing the craft at local events. When people see the work up close, they are more interested in learning about the work as well.
The producer is using the Iron Mountains regional product certificate for her products from spring 2024.
